Rain vs Top Shower Head
As technology advances, so do our everyday products. The showerhead, a staple of every household, has seen significant changes that enhance user experience. Two popular types of showerheads that have caught our attention are the rain showerhead and the top showerhead. Let’s compare the two and see which comes out on top.
Rain Shower Head
A rain showerhead is designed to mimic rainfall, providing a soothing and relaxing shower experience. It typically has a larger surface area, spreading water out for full-body coverage. Depending on the model, the pressure from a rain showerhead can range between 1.5 and 2.5 gallons per minute (GPM).
Top Shower Head
A top showerhead, also known as a ceiling showerhead or a waterfall showerhead, is mounted above the showerhead and cascades water over your body. It usually has a lower GPM flow rate ranging from 1.5 to 2.0 GPM. However, it provides an immersive rainforest-like experience right in your bathroom.
Comparison
In terms of pressure, the rain showerhead has a slight advantage over the top showerhead, giving a fuller flow rate. However, the top showerhead stands out for its unique design that makes it look like you are standing under a waterfall. If you have a smaller bathroom or a limited water supply, the top showerhead should be your go-to choice as it has a lower GPM rate.
